Just 11 kilometers west of Golden lies Burgess and James Gadsden Provincial Park and the Moberly Marshes. This Ducks Unlimited Conservation project protects the northern portion of the Columbia River Wetlands that stretches 180 kilometers between Golden and Canal Flats. The wetlands are the longest and continuous remaining wetlands in North America and support over 260 resident and migratory birds.
